SanDisk has announced a new portable media player called the Sansa Fuze+. Here's a list of what it offers:

2.4" (320 x 240) capacitive touchscreen display;
4GB, 8GB or 16GB storage options;
microSD card slot;
Digital FM tuner;
microUSB 2.0 port;
Battery - up to 24 hours of audio playback and 5 hours of video playback;
Audio formats: MP3, WMA, Secure WMA, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, AAC and Audible;
Video formats: MPEG-4, H.264, WMV and Flip;
slotRadio and slotMusic ready

The Sansa Fuze+ will hit the market soon, but the pricing wasn't disclosed.

Icoo M100HDC PMP

Icoo has launched its latest portable media player, the M100HDC. It supports a multitude of video formats, including MKV, MOV, RMVB, RM, AVI(DivX/XviD/H.264), PMP, DAT, FLV, VOB, MP4, MPG and 3GP. And if you hate watching videos on its 4.8" display, you can always plug the player to your TV via the TV-out port.

No word on pricing or availability yet.

Sony NWZ-A845 Walkman PMP

The new Sony NWZ-A845 in the slimmest Walkman available in Europe. It will be available on shelves starting February 2010 and will have the following features:

The player is bundled with headphones that sport Digital Noise Canceling.

Philips GoGear Muse high-end PMP

Philips has announced it's next flagship portable media player, called the GoGear Muse. It looks rather similar to the more affordable GoGear Aria, but sports higher-end specifications. Currently there's no word on availability in the US, but the Philips GoGear Muse is already available in Singapore for $233.55.

Some features:

3" display;
File support: BMP, GIF, PNG, Ogg Vorbis, APE, Real Video, and Real Audio formats;
Included in-ear headphones with active noise cancelling;
Battery: 25 hours of audio playback, 5 hours of non-stop video playback

Zune HD Rumored To Launch In September

According to Gizmodo's recent report based on some leaked Microsoft documents, the anticipated Zune HD will be launched on September 8 Launch. The device will be available in 16GB and 32GB variants, but the price so far remains unknown. We should note that the Zune's OLED display and the Tegra chip are both very edgy and expensive components.
