Hong Kong SonyStyle store has given the full specifications of Sony’s NWZ-X1000-series Walkman PMP. Here they are:

• 3" WQVGA 432 x 240 OLED display;
• Audio: MP3, WMA, AAC-LC and WAV files;
• Video: QVGA 320 x 240 @ 30fps;
• Formats: AVC (H.264/AVC) (768kbps), MPEG-4 (2,500kbps) and WMV (5,000kbps) files;
• Various equalizer settings;
• FM tuner;
• Wi-Fi b/g;
• YouTube support;
• Battery: up to 33hrs when playing music or 9hrs video playback;
• 16GB/32GB memory capacity

The 16GB model costs ?214 ($310), while the 32GB version is priced at ?283 ($410) in the UK.

Sony as added the new NW-S730FK PMP Series to its Walkman line. The series includes two models, the 8GB NW-S738FK and the 4GB NW-S736FK. Both feature a 2" TFT display and support a large variety of file formats, including WMA, MP3, ATRAC, linear PCM, ATRAC Advanced Lossless, HE-AAC and AAC audio files, JPEG for images, and AVC(H.264/AVC), Windows Media Video 9 and MPEG-4 video formats. Neat!

The recently announced iRiver P7 PMP has appeared on the official site a few days ago, with pictures and specs. It comes with a 4.3", 480x272 resolution screen, offers up to 35 hours of audio, and 7 hours of videos, comes in 4, 8, 16 and 32GB capacities, and can also be used as a business card/pen holder or even a picture frame. Nice!

Unfortunately, although the P7 is fully official now, arrival dates and prices aren't available yet.

Cowon Korea has upgraded its compact D2 DAP/PMP to a D2+ version. The new model offers:

• 2.5” QVGA LCD;
• DMB tuner (optional);
• 4, 8 or 16GB of memory;
• SDHC card slot (up to 32GB);
• Weight: 91g;
• Size: 78 x 55.4 x 16.6 mm;
• Better battery life;
• Other: calculator, notepad, improved LCD, User Interface and radio recording;

iRiver has released its new Wave Home IP phone for Korea Telecomm customers. The device is meant to be used for video conferencing, and to retrieve such information like weather, traffic and news. It also offers PMP functionality, but unfortunately can not be used as a media player alone.
The Korean release will take place in a couple of weeks.

Cowon L3 has been first spotted in August 2008, and today Cowon Korea has finally announced the official launch of this great PMP. When it's released, it will probably be the best choice on the market.

The new SmartQ 5 looks like a cool portable media player with pretty decent features, incuding 4.3" touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and support for most audio and video formats.
The lack of 3G support means that the price won't be too high, though we can't tell you exactly how much the device will cost, nor whether it will be heading Stateside anytime soon.

Compal APA00 (black) and APA01 (white) are the newly unveiled internet-connected touchscreen PMPs. Both are packed with impressive features, but don't expect them to be released in the nearest future, as Compal generally acts as an OEM/ODM for other companies...

• Up to 5 hours of video playback;
• 30GB/60GB storage capacities

There is no word on pricing at the moment.
