Don't need a high-end laptop? But need a new one? Here's what you're looking for. The recently announced ASUS X80LE-4P099H is a low-end notebook for the Korean market. However, all willing can order it online. Costing 600,000(KRW) the X80LE-4P099H runs on an Intel Celeron 550 processor, and has a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, 120GB of SATA HDD, 1GB of DDR2 memory expandable up to 2GB and support for SPDIF slot.

If you need a cheap UMPC (or a mini laptop), then the Eee PC 900 from Asus is probably the best choice to date. This is an upgraded version of the standard Eee PC featuring a larger screen, a better webcam, two OS variants with different memory capacities, and the new FingerGlide touchpad technology, which allows for multiple simultaneous touches for easier navigation. German manufacturer Cizmo came up with a new high-end notebook called CX15. This Centrino 2 based laptop has very impressive specs, such as a GeForce 8800M GTX videocard and an optional Blu-ray drive, and a high price of €1,499 ($2,400). But believe us, it is worth it...

HP has upgraded its dv2000 notebook. The new dv3000 model is a bit smaller, but retains the old design. Here's a quick rundown of specs:

The HP dv3000 will be available in selected Asian markets for around $1,399 beginning in May. 

Toshiba introduced four new models in its Dynabook SS RX series of laptops. They all come with 128 GB SSD NAND flash memory storage capacities, and include RX1/TAE, RX1/W9E, SE120E/2W and TE120E/2W. The first to be released is the RX1/W9E (March 25), others will be available later in April. Currently only two prices are known: the RX1/W9E for $4,237 and SE120E/2W for $5,200.

Toshiba decided to upgrade their Dynabook SS RX1 by adding both a 128GB SSD and a WIN 1x CDMA module from AU by KDDI. However, you'll have to choose either of them, you won't get two upgrades in one notebook. :) The CDMA card comes with a 80GB HDD. The price depends on what you choose, and varies between €2470 and €3846.
