ASUS has announced its new UL lineup of laptops. They all boast a lightweight aluminum chassis, measure up to 1" in thickness, and are able to run up to 12 hours per charge.
15.6" models: UL50A, UL50Ag and UL50Vg. Powered by either 1.3GHz Core 2 Duo or 1.4GHz Core 2 Solo, Intel GMA 4500 graphics and up to 4GB of RAM.
14" models: UL80Ag and UL80V. Both feature the same specs as the UL50Ag and UL50Vg.
Low-end models: UL20A and UL30A, Small size, no ODD.
No idea on pricing, but they oshould be available in North America in the near future.
Dell has launched a new series of full-featured laptops called the Inspiron Z. The new family will offer enhanced portability combined with high end features. The first two models in line are the Inspiron 14z and Inspiron 15z, available now for $599 upwards.
Shared features include:

6-cell battery lasts around 8 hours when you’re operating in “airplane” mode;
DVD burners;
Webcams;
Wi-Fi adapter;
Cinematic 16:9 HD displays;

Intex N101-WC1100 netbook sounds pretty difficult to pronounce, but since it's the only Intex netbook released recently in India, just tell the name of the manufacturer, and they'll give you this model. It comes with similar specifications found in netbooks in its class, including:

Here's a new (or yet another) clone of the Asus Eee PC S101 netbook. The latest clone model is known as the EPCS101-BRN004X, and comes with an Asus logo on the back instead of Eee as found on the original. That's how you can tell it's fake. Specwise, it's actually not bad:
Alienware has announced a new version of their M17x gaming notebook called the Nebula Red. It's not exactly groundbreaking, but still has some notable features, such as an anodized red aluminum casing, and a backlit keyboard that lights up with red (default) tinting. Specifications didn't change:

This new model will be released in August for about $1,900.
