Olympus has announced today its new E-30 DSLR. This mid-range camera features a 12Mpix Live MOS sensor and a 2.7" tilt and swivel LCD. It also includes functions like Live View with Contrast AF, Image Stabilization, 5fps continuous shooting and shutter speeds of up to 1/8000th sec. In addition, the E-30 also introduces a set of six 'Art Filters', a Multiple Exposure mode and offers a choice of 9 aspect ratios.
Of course, compact cameras can not compete with the full-sized ones in performance, but that's normal, they are built for portability and easy use. One of them is the new 
Olympus EVOLT E-510 DSLR is an excellent mid-level dSLR digicam, a perfect choice for casual photographers. 
In 2005, Yoshihisa Maitani, an advisor at Olympus Corporation, gave a great presentation overviewing the history of Olympus as a company, as well as discussing his uncompromising philosophy as a developer to create cameras that previously didn't exist elsewhere...
The Olympus MJU 760 digicam can be taken out in the rain, but it is not the best one though.
