Mobile
devices, based on Windows CE platform are now vulnerable to a new threat called
InfoJack. It is a Trojan, which copies the info about the infected handset
(serial number, operating system, etc) and transmits it to the author of the
malware. In addition, more malware can be injected into your device, as long as
the Trojan remains active. It also has the capability to reproduce itself, so
you won't be able to delete it by hand.
Supposedly,
the InfoJack originated from
China
as it was first spotted there in circulation. It can be distributed with Google
Maps, applications for stock trading, and games. Be aware!
