Thomson V888 Portable Media Player

Thomson presents its another originaly designed media player. The new V888 is a PMP slider, featuring a sliding control pad with a four-directional navigation key and X, A, B, Y, home and select buttons like on a gaming controller. Looks pretty cool, but there's one problem though: the player's 4" screen is heavier than the control pad, so it's quite uncomfortable to hold the device open.

Supported media formats are:

Video: MPEG, MP4, DivX, AVI, Xvid
Audio: MP3, WMA, WAV, and FLAC lossless

The V888 will soon be available in China for 999 Yuan (around $132). No info on the U.S. release yet.
