Garmin nuvi 260 is a new budget GPS navigator in the nuvi 200 series. It is probably the only budget GPS device capable of calling out street names instead of giving approximate distances till the destination point.
The device comes in a thinner form factor and features a 3.5" touchscreen display, uses alternate route calculation function in case you miss a turn, and has over 6 million POIs and maps of the US, Canada and Puerto Rico preloaded in its internal memory. For memory expansion there is an SD card slot. The nuvi 260 also comes with the Garmin Lock to be protected from theft. Among other on-board goodies there is also image viewer, calculator, currency converter, world clock and unit converter.
Garmin nuvi 260 will be available this month for $499.99. The package includes a vehicle suctino cup mount, power cable, dashboard disk and user manual.
