Hitachi introduced their two new HD video camcorders capable of recording video onto Blu-ray media disks. They are called
DZ-BD70A Blu-ray and
DZ-BD7HA Hybrid HDD/Blu-ray camcorders. The difference between them is that the latter comes with an internal 30GB hard disk drive. More details below.

Both camcorders will be available North America this October. The Hitachi DZ-BD70A Blu-ray camcorder will cost $1,299, while the DZ-BD7HA Hybrid HDD/Blu-ray camcorder will be priced at $1,499.
