Garmin Rino 520HCx and 530HCx Radios

Garmin recently presented their two new devices in the Rino series. Rino 520HCx and 530HCx combine a two-way radio with a GPS receiver. They both come equipped with a 176x220 color screen, a battery lasting for up to 14 hours and have an effective range of 14 miles.


The difference between these two is that the 530HCx comes with an integrated 7-channel weather receiver, an electronic compass and barometric altimeter. 520HCx costs $450 and 530HCx is priced at $500.

Rino 520HCx and 530HCx include North and South America maps. There are also MapSource Topo, City Navigator NT, BlueChart and Inland Lakes maps available for purchase on microSD cards.
