SVN-15 "Firebird" is no longer available

After 16 years of service SVN-15 "Firebird" satelite has stopped performing its duties and in about a month it will be send into disposable orbit.
Over the years SVN-15 has helped a great number of people. Firebird was dedicated to military service in its earlier years. It helped US Air Force in guiding munitions during Desert Storm in 1991. In recent years SVN-15 has served an increasing number of civilians around the world, helping guide them to their own life destinations.
Usual life expectancy of a navigational satelite is about 7-8 years, so SVN-15 has lived twice as long as expected.

Good Bye, Firebird.
