Flash Memory in Apple's Mini-Notebooks

It is possible that Apple will use NAND flash memory in their laptop computers later this year. This technology will also be implemented in Apple's sub-notebook computers. Flash memory has many benefits in comparison with hard-disk drives: it is lighter, more compact, provides faster computer boot-up and consumes less power. Also flash is more reliable concerning data storage. At first it will be a bit more expensive, but prices will drop in time. Who knows, maybe soon HDD will become history...
